GUWAHATI: ‘Dhing Express’ Hima Das will be reaching Guwahati today at around 1 PM from New Delhi. The airport has been all decked up with a red carpet that resembles a running track. Also on the way to the Airport hoardings and banners have been put by the State Government welcoming Hima.
She will be welcomed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal himself.
Hima has become everyone’s favourite after winning one gold and two silver medals at the recently held 18th Asian Games also known as e -Pelambang 2018.
As per the itinerary, Hima on her way from the airport will halt at the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Kshetra Memorial where she will pay her respects to the bard of Brahmaputra.
From there, she will head to the track and field area of Sarusujai Stadium and directly move to Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra for the state-level felicitation programme at 5:00 PM.
