GUWAHATI: A police officer was killed on-spot after being hit by a four-wheeler in Aminagaon on April 27.

The incident happened around 5:20 am, today near the Amingaon flyover resulted in the death of an Assam police official.

The deceased, identified as Gopal Chandra Choudhary, a resident of Kalitakuchi, Hajo, was en route his duty to Dispur from Kalitakuchi.
While speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from Amingaon police station said, "Gopal Chandra Choudhary was taking a turn towards the end of the flyover on his two-wheeler which was not deemed to be correct as per traffic rules. He was then struck from behind mistakenly by a four-wheeler. Despite immediate assistance, he was declared dead on the spot."
