GUWAHATI: The State Election Commission of Assam has announced the finalisation of the postal ballot voting process for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in the Kamrup Metropolitan election district.

Key details are:
• The issuance of Form 12D from the Kamrup Metropolitan Election District will commence on or before April 8, 2024.
• The last date for the submission of Form 12D at the Postal Voting Centre (PVC), located at the DC Office in Kamrup Metro, is set for April 17, 2024, until 5:00 PM.
• The casting of votes will take place at the Postal Voting Centre (PVC), DC Office, Kamrup Metropolitan Election District, from May 1 to May 3, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day.

This process allows eligible voters who are unable to physically visit polling stations on election day to participate in the electoral process through postal ballots.
