Responding to criticism about the absence of Muslim candidates in Maharashtra, Kharge clarified that due to the three-party alliance, adjustments had to be made.

He assured that the concerned leader is valuable and will continue to contribute to the party's work.

On the issue of Rahul Gandhi contesting from Wayanad and Amethi, Kharge defended the decision, stating that leaders go where the people want them.

He compared it to past instances of leaders changing constituencies and announced that candidates for Amethi and Rai Bareilly would be declared shortly.

It is to be mentioned that Kharge is set to visit Barpeta all with other party leaders for the upcoming polling on May 7.
