GUWAHATI: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia reportedly appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Guwahati on Thursday, October 17, for questioning regarding her alleged involvement in promoting the illegal streaming of matches on an online betting app.

According to reports, the actress had reportedly arrived at the ED office to answer their summons at around 1:30 PM. The app in question has drawn scrutiny from various investigative agencies in recent years, leading to a series of high-profile summonses.
In 2023, two high-profile Bollywood stars were reportedly summoned by the ED for their involvement in the app’s promotional campaigns. Several other celebrities have since come under investigation, as the ongoing proceedings have revealed the alleged involvement of these people for receiving large amounts of money to promote the app.
The mastermind behind the app was reportedly arrested in Dubai on October 11, as he was taken into custody following a Red Notice issued by the ED.
The investigation continues, with more celebrities likely to be called in for questioning.
