Further, names of four private schools from New Delhi and one from Noida have been linked to the Instagram group.

Speaking to G Plus, Meeta Dutta, lawyer and social activist said, "This is a rare but nevertheless an alarming incident as it is a one-off occurrence involving extremely wayward youth whose upbringing seems highly questionable and obviously bereft of any inculcation of true humanitarian values into their persona due to investigable reasons. But thankfully the majority of our children are sweet, sane, humane and compassionate."

"Therefore we should not be panickally perturbed about it and allow this rarest of the rare devilry of these misdirected children to go through the due legal and correctional process for its desirable resolution," she added.

Meanwhile, social media users across the country expressed concern and outrage after screenshots of the group's chats were released online by a Delhi-based girl.

The members of the group were also publicly revealed. The matter is currently under investigation.
