GUWAHATI: On the second day of the four-day Group C Ranji Trophy between Assam and Haryana at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara ground the host managed to wipe out the Haryana team for just 97 runs in the first innings. Assam had scored 215 runs on the first day and were all out for 310 today.
Haryana batsmen had to face the music of Assam pace bowler Arup Das who took five wickets and gave away 52 runs. Das was helped by medium pacer Ranjit Mali who managed to clinch three wickets for 25 runs and fast bowler Mukhtar Hussain took 2 for 20.

After follow on Haryana started their second innings and have already lost 7 wickets and managed to gather only 78 runs at the end of the second day’s play.
It was again speedster Arup Das who took 4 wickets by giving away only 23 runs. Ranjit Mali took 2 wickets and Mukhtar Hussain got 1.
Earlier today, Assam batsman Gokul Sharma (96) missed his century by 4 runs.
