GUWAHATI: A man has been arrested by Gorchuk Police after being caught with a pair of stolen gold earrings on Wednesday, January 29. He is identified as Hazrat Billa. The earrings were recovered from Billa at Katabari market.

The arrest comes a day after a separate incident in Hatigaon, Guwahati, where a suspected thief was shot and injured by police after he allegedly tried to flee. He was earlier arrested for snatching a woman's bag in Banphul Nagar.
