GUWAHATI: The newly redeveloped Terminal 1 at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) will be inaugurated on Sunday, February 2. The inauguration ceremony will be held at the airport at 3:00 PM.

Speaking to GPlus, an official from LGBIA said, "The revamped infrastructure is to enhance the services provided for the passengers in the existing terminal. The aim is to provide seamless travelling options."
The establishment was built to handle a volume of around 500 passengers, but at present a volume manifold more is managed on a regular basis.
According to a tweet by the Assam Chief Minister the new terminal is expected to be operational from April 2025.
