GUWAHATI: A man wanted in a criminal case in Bengaluru was arrested today from Ganeshguri in a joint operation by Karnataka Police and Dispur Police on Thursday, January 30.

The accused, identified as 33-year-old Rahul Roy, was traced and taken into custody in connection with Crime No. 412/2024 registered at Bengaluru East CEN Police Station.
According to police sources, Karnataka Police had been tracking Roy for some time and, with the help of Dispur Police, successfully located him in Guwahati.
“We received information from Karnataka Police about a suspect linked to a case in Bengaluru. After tracking his location, we arrested him from Ganeshguri today,” said a senior police officer while talking to GPlus.
Rahul Roy, son of Jatindra Roy, is a resident of RK Mission Road, Khalilpur, in Dhubri district. He was taken into custody, and legal formalities are being completed before transferring him to Karnataka Police.
Further investigation is under way.
