GUWAHATI: A mobile phone and articles worth ₹ 2500 were stolen from a shop on B.Borooah Road, Ulubari on Thursday, January 30.
CCTV footage recorded the incident at 9.06 AM. It showed an individual carrying out the theft from the shop -- Baruah Store-- before walking away.

According to the owner, Jatin Baruah, a mobile phone and cigarettes worth ₹2500 were stolen. Baruah had briefly left the store unattended due to some work when the incident happened. CCTVs in nearby shops captured the thief leaving the area.
An FIR has been lodged at the Paltan Bazar police station and an investigation has been initiated. Police will now study the CCTV footage among other things to try and crack the case.
