GUWAHATI: In a very unfortunate incident that took place at IIT Guwahati on Wednesday, a student from Karnataka identified a Nagashree Aithal, ended her life in her hostel room, by hanging herself to death.
The case was later taken by North Guwahati Police. Police during the course of investigation have found a note from Nagashree's personal diary in which she had asked for forgiveness from her family.
According to police, she mentioned in the note that she was sorry that she could not live up to the expectations of her family and that no one was responsible for her death.
From the note found, police have suspected that the deceased was not happy with her career option.
The number of suicide cases, unfortunately, have risen in the premier educational institution and this reportedly is the 3rd case of suspected suicide in this year.
