GUWAHATI: Krishna Das, a swimmer hailing from Guwahati, won three gold medals at the National Para Swimming Championship which was recently held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Assam won a total of ten medals in the championship, including five gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

The winners also included Yesmina Khatun from Barpeta, who won two gold and one silver, Anwar Sikdar, who won a silver and a bronze, and Sajida Begum, who won two bronze, taking Assam’s medal tally to 10.
A total of 16 para-athletes from Assam had participated in the two-day competition.
