GUWAHATI: Certain areas of the city have been designated as 'no drone fly zones' and 'no cracker zones' in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Guwahati on April 16.

A notification issued by Kamrup Metropolitan District Magistrate Sumit Sattawan said that the 'no drone fly zone' will remain in effect for the entirety of the Prime Minister's proposed route on April 16.

The designated areas where the 'no drone fly zone' will be enforced include the route stretching from LGBI Airport through Jalukbari, Maligaon, Bharalumukh, Panbazar, GS Road, Six Mile, and ending at the Veterinary Field in Khanapara, including Koinadhora Guest House, as specified in the order dated April 15.
