Hojai orchid garden makes it to Guinness Book of World Records

A resident of Hojai has made his native land and whole of Assam proud by encrypting his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. A garden managed by Rahmat Ali has entered the world record for its unique number of orchid and bamboo plantation.

The garden boasts of 260 varieties of bamboo plantation along with 1168 different types of orchids. The record has been created for variety that the garden exhibits which has broken previous record. The garden is situated in Udali village of Hojai, Assam.

 

After achieving the world record, an elated Ali said that he's very satisfied for being able to achieve this unique record and making it to the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records. He also added that his main objective was not to make it to the world record but rather was to protect and preserve the varieties of orchid and bamboo through his garden.

 

We congratulate Rahmat Ali on achieving this unique feat as he has made whole of Assam very proud!
