GUWAHATI: Elvis Ali Hazarika has made Assam proud by becoming the first ever Assamese to swim the Catalina Channel in the United States of America.
According to reports, Hazarika began swum across the Channel from the US to reach Mexico. He covered a distance of 80 Kms in 10 hrs 59 mins.
