GUWAHATI: Cotton University will be introducing ASTC bus services starting from Tuesday, October 15.
Reportedly, the 34-seater non AC bus service will be introduced on an experimental basis for six months.
Speaking to G Plus, General Secretary of the University Rahul Bordoloi stated that, “Although the bus services existed in earlier years, however it was not successful. We are hoping that this time the students will be benefited from it and it will be a success.”
“Tomorrow we will start the services for a single route,” he added.
The services will be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of the university at 10:30am, Tuesday.
As per a notification the routes are:
1. At 8:00 AM- Bhangagarh-Ganeshguri-DHE office Kaahilipara-Betkuchi-Lalganesh-AV College-paltanbazar-Panbazar-CU (9:00 AM)
2. At 9:30 AM- Panbazar-Bharalu-Maligaon-Adabari-Jalukbari-GU and back to CU following same route (11:30 AM)
3. At 12:30 PM- CU-CU Girls Hostel-Guwahati Club-Ulubari-Ganeshguri-Last gate-6 Mile-Ganeshguri-GCC-Chandmari-Guwahati Club-CU (2:00 PM)
4. At 3:15 PM- CU-Guwahati Club-Ulubari-Bhangagarh-ganeshguri-DHE office-Kahilapara-Betkuchi-Lalganesh-AV College-Platanbazar-ASTC stand.
