Guwahati: Two persons were injured in Dhirenpara area when one Anis Raj Ansari attacked them with with a sharp weapon. Anis is a resident of Delhi and lives in a rented house in Dhirenpara.
According to the police, the incident started after the lady and Anis started quarrelling and a bystander Arif Ahmed came forward to pacify both the parties.
Much to the horror of Arif, the blademan attacked him on shoulder and neck. When the lady intervened to save Arif she was also attacked and injured by Anis.
Local residents later took both the injured to the hospital. The family members of the injured reported to the Fatasil Police and lodged a complaint, acting on which the police arrested Ansari from his rented house on Thursday.
