GUWAHATI: Assam Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia is set to retire today, November 30.
Earlier in August 30, the Assam Government had given an extension of three months to Saikia.
He is an IPS officer from the 1985 batch of Assam-Meghalaya Cadre and took charge as the Assam DGP in April 2018.

He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and has also received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Awarb for his short story collection Akashar Chhabi Aru Anyanya Galpa in 2015.
