GUWAHATI: The body of a security guard was found at the storage house within the office premises of the Additional Director of Health Services in the Patharquarry area of Guwahati on March 29.

The deceased, identified as Krishna Sharma aged 52, had reported for duty from his residence in Noonmati the previous evening.

However, at 10 AM on Friday, Sharma's body was found in the security guard's office. Upon discovery, the Noonmati Police Station was informed who came to retrieve the body.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Noonmati Police Station, “Upon closer examination, we observed foam and nose bleeding from the mouth of the deceased. The family members speculate foul play in this case. But nothing is certain as of yet. We are looking into it.”
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and registered a case. The body has been sent to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for postmortem. Further details await.
