GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Water Supply Project, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), opened registrations for residents in 7 new District Metered Areas (DMAs) on April 1, to ensure supply of drinking water.

The areas of the city are Down Town area, Dwarika Nagar, Chachal area, Upper Chachal area, Junaki Path / Rupkonwar Path, Fancy Bazar / Machkhowa, and BK Kakati Road / Rehabari.

Citizens residing in these areas have been urged to apply for the hassle-free delivery of potable water directly to their homes. To register for the water connection, interested citizens can visit the website www.gmdwsb.in or download the GJB mobile app available on Google Play Store.
