GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police, in two separate operations, arrested three suspected drug peddlers and seized suspected heroin.
In the first operation, the STF conducted a raid at Swadesh Nagar, Khanapara, under Basistha Police Station (PS) jurisdiction. Acting on reliable intelligence, the team apprehended two individuals and seized 49 grams of suspected heroin contained in 37 vials.

Alongside the narcotics, the STF recovered two mobile phones and cash amounting to ₹3,020. The apprehended persons were identified as Rahul Mondal, 26, and Sanjeet Roy, 27, both from Khanapara Swadesh Nagar.
In a separate operation, the STF conducted a raid at Haji Mushafirkhana under Paltanbazar PS jurisdiction. In this raid, the team apprehended another suspect and recovered 24 grams of suspected heroin contained in two soap boxes, along with other related items.

Legal actions are being taken against the suspects, and further investigations are underway.
