GUWAHATI: Assam police seized 10,000 YABA tablets near Katakhali, along the Salganga River in Cachar. The estimated value of the seizure is ₹3 crore. One person has been arrested in connection with the case.

The operation was carried out by Cachar Police as part of a continuing crackdown on drug trafficking networks operating in the region.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the success of the operation in a tweet: "YABA Tablets Worth ₹3 Crore Seized In an anti-narcotics operation, @cacharpolice recovered 10,000 YABA tablets near Katakhali, Salganga River. One person have been arrested. Kudos to @assampolice."
