Panchayat Poll Postal Ballot Schedule In Assam's Cachar Deferred To April 24-25

 

GUWAHATI: The schedule for casting postal ballots in the upcoming Panchayat Election 2025 has been revised for Assam’s Cachar district. As per an official notification, the earlier dates of April 22 and 23 have now been deferred to April 24 and 25.

The information was shared in a press release issued on Monday, April 21, by the Regional Office of Information and Public Relations, Barak Valley Zone, Silchar, Assam.

The earlier schedule was previously circulated in an office order issued on April 14, but the revision has been undertaken to streamline the process and ensure smooth conduct of the electoral procedure.

The change affects applicants who had already applied to vote via postal ballots. These individuals have been advised to take note of the new dates and participate in the process accordingly. The administration has also urged all concerned to cooperate in implementing the updated schedule.

Officials further stated that the rescheduling aims to facilitate a more effective and orderly system for postal voting during the Panchayat polls.
