GUWAHATI: The Assam Christian Forum has acknowledged that Pope Francis stands out as a global voice of unity, compassion, and justice at a time when the world is facing deep social and political divides.

Allen Brooks, spokesperson of the Forum, said the Pope’s work has gone beyond the boundaries of religion. “Pope Francis is known worldwide for his concern for the environment, his support for refugees, and his efforts to bring people together,” he said.
Brooks also pointed out that the Pope’s influence has reached global leaders. “It is a testimony of his good work that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pope Francis during his official visit to the Vatican,” he said.
