GUWAHATI: There appears to be confusion over the date of Saraswati puja this year with the toss-up being between February 2 and 3.

People are also confused over whether schools and colleges will celebrate it on February 2 as being a Sunday educational institutions are expected to be closed.
Talking to GPlus, a Pujari (Pandit) said, “Saraswati puja will be on February 3 (Monday) from approximately 5 AM to 9:59 AM. The sunrise time is 6:22 AM. So the puja will or should be done accordingly.”
People and institutions may follow the above schedule or celebrate as per their convenience as many are also poised to perform and celebrate the puja on February 2 (Sunday).
