Many devotees complained that once inside the queue, leaving for necessities, such as using the bathroom, was not an option.

They also expressed frustration over VIP visitors being granted quicker access, while general devotees faced extended waits. Some even fainted due to the lengthy wait and inadequate amenities.

One devotee shared a video with Gplus, stating, "We stood in line from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm, over 12 hours. VIPs got through quickly, and some women even fainted. No washroom facilities made it even worse."

Speaking to Gplus, a senior official from Kamakhya Devalaya told, "Since the beginning of the new year, the temple has seen a surge in visitors. Currently, darshan is limited to 3,000 people a day, but due to numerous VIP visits, many devotees are unable to complete darshan despite waiting for hours."

In response to these concerns, temple authorities have requested the district administration to restrict VIP visits during peak hours to alleviate the strain on general devotees.
