GUWAHATI: A video showing water pouring down heavily from one of the platform roofs of the newly renovated Guwahati Railway Station (GRS) after a brief downpour on Tuesday evening (May 14, 2019) has been circulating in social media.
The video shows water flowing down from the ceiling of the newly constructed wing of GRS.

Talking to G Plus, Namita Konwar, a resident of Guwahati said, "I am a regular traveller and I have always seen the railway in a shabby condition. I was hoping that the recent renovation will change the poor condition of the station. But, it seems that the renovation was not done properly. The government should start an inquiry to look into the loopholes of the construction."
