GUWAHATI: Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election in 2024, training programmes have been scheduled to equip officials with the necessary skills and knowledge for the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

A training programme on EVM Commissioning is set to take place on April 8, 2024, starting at 10:30 AM. The event will be held at the PWD Convention Cum Training Hall, located near the MLA Hostel in Dispur, Guwahati. This programme aims to train officials in the proper handling and commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the forthcoming election.
Furthermore, an orientation programme on EVM Commissioning is scheduled for April 5, 2024, starting from 2:30 PM onwards. This programme will be conducted at the conference hall of the district commissioner's office in Kamrup (Metro), aiming to familiarise officials with the EVM commissioning process.

Additionally, a training programme for micro observers is slated for April 5, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. The event will be held at the conference hall of the DC Office in Kamrup (Metro). This programme intends to provide micro observers with essential training and guidelines for their roles in overseeing the electoral process during the Lok Sabha Election.
