Unidentified Body Found In East Jaintia Hills In Meghalaya

 

GUWAHATI:  A semi-decomposed body of an unidentified male was discovered in a betel nut plantation in the Dona Bhoi area, located approximately 1.5 kilometer from the Indo-Bangladesh border, on the evening of August 26th. The deceased was found with a Bangladesh passport identifying him as Ishaque Ali Khan Panna.

Authorities arrived at the scene and completed the necessary formalities before transporting the body to Civil Hospital Khliehriat for a post-mortem examination. Following the examination, the body has been placed in the morgue room at Khliehriat Civil Hospital, where it will remain until it is identified and claimed.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is currently underway. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
