GUWAHATI: A late-night incident on Guwahati’s ABC, GS Road at approximately 10:45 PM resulted in a two-wheeler crashing into another two-wheeler and ultimately hitting a barricade at a police checkpoint on December 27.

The rider allegedly attempted to evade the checkpoint but collided with the barricade.
The rider tried to flee the scene by travelling on the wrong side of the road. This reckless manouevre led to a collision with another two-wheeler.
Fortunately, no fatalities were reported. However, both riders sustained injuries, with official statements stating that the rider of the second vehicle may have suffered a broken leg.
Talking to GPlus, a traffic police official from Bhangagarh police station said, “The accident occurred late at night but no major injuries or fatalities were reported. The rider tried to flee and also collided with another scooter and on the way also hit a barricade. He suffered a broken leg and he was taken to GMCH where he was released later.”
