Nasim Uddin SK, a close associate of previously arrested extremist Nur Islam Mandal, had been on the run since December 17, 2024. He is believed to be closely involved in conspiring with Mandal to procure weapons and manufacture Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to arm and empower extremist factions. Authorities allege their plan was to destabilise national security, disrupt peace, and threaten India's sovereignty.

The suspect is charged under various sections of the IPC, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Passport Act, the Explosive Act, the Arms Act, and the Foreigners Act. He has been remanded to police custody for seven days after being presented in court.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities focusing on uncovering further details about the terrorist network and its cross-border connections.
