GUWAHATI: The Badminton Association of India is considering shifting the venue of 2018-’19 Senior National Badminton Championships to Guwahati, which hosted the 2017-’18 junior national championships from the original venue, Hyderabad.
Returning after a gap of 13 months, the 2018-’19 Senior National Badminton Championships is likely to be moved to Guwahati because the venue in Hyderabad is currently not available between February 4-10.
However, there is no official confirmation from the association and will only be confirmed by next week.

It is to be mentioned that Guwahati is also the home city of BAI President Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Telangana Badminton Association has expressed its inability to host the tournament in Hyderabad.
