GUWAHATI: The second phase of the panchayat elections in Assam will be conducted on May 7, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, across 13 districts including Dhubri, South Salmara Mankachar, Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Bajali, Nalbari, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon and Darrang.

A total of 91,31,127 voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this phase. This includes 46,30,924 male voters, 44,99,952 female voters, and 251 voters registered under the 'others' category. Polling will take place across 12,130 stations set up in the participating districts.
The number of candidates contesting in this phase stands at 29,608.
The first phase of the panchayat polls was conducted on May 2, covering 14 districts from Upper Assam, Northern Assam, and the Barak Valley.
