RPF Apprehends Two Women Drug Peddlers In Guwahati Railway Station

 

GUWAHATI: Two drug peddlers have been apprehended by a joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Guwahati and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Guwahati at Guwahati Railway Station. The development was shared by the RPF Lumding Division on Saturday, April 26.

The operation, which took place on April 25, led to the recovery of two kilograms of Yaba tablets valued at ₹8,57,74,100 from Train No. 12508 DN. A case has been registered by the NCB Guwahati for further investigation.

The apprehended individuals have been handed over to the concerned authorities, and further legal proceedings are underway.
In another operation on the same day, the RPF team from Agartala recovered 14 kilograms of ganja from Agartala Railway Station. The seized contraband was subsequently handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Agartala for necessary action, but no apprehensions were reported in this case.

Additionally, a day earlier, the same RPF team apprehended another drug peddler and recovered 2.055 kilograms of ganja. The accused was also handed over to the GRP Agartala for further legal measures.

These back-to-back recoveries highlight the ongoing efforts to maintain security and prevent the movement of illegal substances through the railway network.
