GUWAHATI: Hotel Landmark, a popular establishment located on B Baruah Road in Guwahati, was sealed late on Friday night, April 25, following the discovery of inadequate fire safety measures.

The operation was carried out by the Fire and Emergency Safety Services, (F&ESS), as part of their ongoing inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety norms across the city. According to officials, the hotel failed to meet the mandatory requirements necessary to operate safely.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Fire and Emergency Safety Services said, “The hotel was sealed last night. Further details will be revealed after a thorough investigation.”
Hotel Landmark has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident.
