GUWAHATI: Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Riyan Parag has been fined ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during the IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on March 30. This was RR’s first offence of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya was also fined ₹12 lakh for a similar offence against Gujarat Titans during the match on March 29.
RR secured a 6-run victory over CSK. Batting first, they posted 182/5, and successfully defended the target.
A highlight of the match was Riyan Parag’s stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Shivam Dube, a moment that went viral on social media.
