GUWAHATI: A body was found hanging inside the watchman’s room at the New Saraighat Bridge in Amingaon on Tuesday, April 1. The deceased has been identified as Moneshwar Borgohain, a resident of Chalantapara in Bongaigaon district.

According to authorities, the man was over 50 years old, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
The Amingaon police arrived at the scene to investigate.
Speaking to GPlus, a police official from Amingaon Outpost stated, “A body was found hanging in the watchman’s room at New Saraighat Bridge. The body has been taken to AIIMS for post-mortem examination. An FIR has been filed by family members as they suspect foul play.”
