GUWAHATI: A fire broke out in Guwahati's Narengi Oil India pipeline office headquarters on Wednesday, April 30. Fire trucks on the location take hold of the smoke in the nick of time.

A resident of the area Ajay Agarwal, while speaking to GPlus said, “I noticed smoke coming out of the second floor of the building. I immediately informed the Chandmari Fire and Emergency Safety Service (F&ESS) department and they took control of it.”
A senior F&ESS personnel from Chandmari said, “We received a call at around 11:40 am and immediately rushed to the location. The cause of the fire has been attributed to sparks that ignited during some tests. Property estimated at approximately Rs 10 lakh has been damaged. However, no casualties have been reported.”
Fire tenders from Dispur F&ESS also joined the team.
