GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Senior Citizens’ Association (GSCA), by a resolution unanimously conferred the title ‘Nyay Ratna’ on former CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
The recognition has been bestowed for his distinguished service in general and especially for resolving the long disputed case of Babri Masjid and Ram Mandir.
It is to be mentioned that senior journalist DN Chakravartty suggested that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal request the Government of India to confer Bharat Ratna on Justice Ranjan Gogoi in recognition of his great contribution.
