Petrol, Diesel prices cut by 1 paisa

GUWAHATI: The initial announcement of 60 paisa reduction in petrol and 56 in diesel on Wednesday, 30th May, 2018, seemed to be a “typing error”.

Within hours of initial announcement, the oil companies clarified that the prices have actually decreased by just 1 paisa per litre, a move that has received further flake from the citizens.

This minor reduction comes after 16 consecutive price increases since May 14.

Petrol per litre has decreased to Rs. 80.03 from Rs. 80.66 in Assam, after the 1 paisa deduction in the base price.

Fuel prices vary from state to state depending on state tax of which Delhi being the cheapest among all metros.
