Offices to have 100% Employees, Barbers allowed to make Home visits: Chief Secretary

GUWAHATI: For the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown, the Assam government has permitted offices to have 100 percent attendance of its employees.

Chief Secretary of Assam, Kumar Sanjay Krishna, and DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, briefing the media on the new guidelines, informed that offices and businesses are to operate to its full capacity.

Beauty parlours, salons and barber shops are to remain closed like earlier. However, barbers are allowed to make home visits, said the Chief Secretary.

Further, for travelling in vehicles, be it four-wheelers or two-wheelers, earlier rules are to be followed. As such, no pillion riding is allowed, except women and health workers (if necessary), and only three people will be allowed in four-wheelers.

Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women, and children below the age of 12 years, shall stay at home, except for essential and health purposes.
