Notably, Assam's turnout surpassed that of mainland states yet again.
States like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh reported lower turnouts of 54.83%, 59.19%, and 52.74%, respectively.
Despite logistical challenges, Assam's democratic participation was not rattled, with voters turning out in significant numbers across the state.
However, concerns remained regarding the disenfranchisement of voters in the Barak Valley due to disrupted railway connectivity, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure.
