GUWAHATI: Nihar Ranjan Das of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clinched the Dholai seat with 69,945 votes, defeating his closest rival, Dhrubajyoti Purkayastha of the Indian National Congress (INC), by a margin of 9,098 votes. Independent candidate Amalendu Das finished with just 5,061 votes, trailing Das by 64,884 votes.

Earlier, in the Bongaigaon constituency, Diptimayee Choudhury of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) achieved a victory, securing 74,734 votes. The Congress candidate, Brajenjit Singha, secured 39,570 votes, while Independent candidate Sailendra Sarkar lagged behind with 13,381 votes.
Meanwhile, in the Sidli constituency, Nirmal Kumar Brahma of the United People’s Party, Liberal (UPPL), won decisively with 95,243 votes, defeating Suddho Kumar Basumatary of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) by a significant margin of 37,016 votes.
In the Behali bye-election, Diganta Ghatowal of the BJP emerged victorious with 50,947 votes, beating Congress's Jayanta Borah by a margin of 9,051 votes.
