GUWAHATI: The Sribhumi police intercepted a vehicle in Baliabazar and seized 16,000 YABA tablets on Tuesday, April 15. The operation was part of an ongoing effort to dismantle the drug trafficking networks operating across the region.
Three individuals were arrested at the scene and taken into custody for further interrogation. Authorities have not disclosed their identities.
The Chief Minister of Assam acknowledged the action on X, saying, “Last evening, @sribhumipolice conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Baliabazar where a vehicle was intercepted and 16,000 YABA tablets were seized.”
