GUWAHATI: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, issued a weather forecast predicting light to moderate rainfall across various regions in Assam and the northeastern states over the coming days along with thunderstorms. Along with the rain, a spell of hot and humid weather is expected to continue in the area.

Weather Forecast:
• 27th April: Light to moderate rain is expected in many places across Arunachal Pradesh and at a few locations in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The overall weather in these regions is likely to remain hot and humid.
• 28th April: Rainfall is expected to increase with light to moderate showers occurring in most places across Arunachal Pradesh and in many places across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Hot and humid weather will persist.
• 29th April: Light to moderate rain is anticipated across Arunachal Pradesh and in many parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
• 30th April: Rainfall is expected to continue with light to moderate showers occurring at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, and at many places across Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Warnings:
• 27th April: Isolated thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching 30-40 km/h are expected across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Arunachal Pradesh is also likely to experience isolated thunderstorms and lightning.
• 28th April: Thunderstorms with gusty winds reaching 40-50 km/h and heavy rain at isolated places are expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Arunachal Pradesh is also likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and isolated heavy rain.
• 29th April: Isolated thunderstorms and lightning are expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, with heavy rain at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.
• 30th April: Thunderstorms with gusty winds reaching 30-40 km/h are likely to occur at isolated places across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Thunderstorms with lightning are expected in isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh.
