GUWAHATI: A derailment of a goods train engine between Jatinga Lampur and New Harangajao stations under the Lumding division of the Northeast Frontier Railway has caused significant disruptions to train operations. The incident occurred at KM 110/7, leading to the cancellation, partial cancellation, and rescheduling of several trains.
Senior railway officials, along with their teams and necessary equipment, are already at the site to ensure the speedy restoration of train operations. However, until the situation is fully resolved, multiple trains will be affected.

As a result of the derailment, the following trains have been cancelled:
• 05628 Agartala-Guwahati Special (scheduled to depart on April 25, 2024).
• 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express (scheduled to depart on April 26, 2024).
• 05627 Guwahati-Agartala Special (scheduled to depart on April 26, 2024).
• 13175 Sealdah-Agartala Kanchanjungha Express (scheduled to depart on April 27, 2024).
• 12519 LTT-Agartala Express (scheduled to depart on April 28, 2024).
• 14620 Firozpur-Agartala Express (scheduled to depart on April 29, 2024).
Several trains have been short-terminated at various stations:
• 12503 Humsafar Express (short-terminated at Lumding).
• 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express (short-terminated at Lumding).
• 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express (short-terminated at Ditokcherra).
• 15618 Dullabcherra-Guwahati Express (short-terminated at Badarpur).
• 14619 Agartala-Firozpur Express (short-terminated at Badarpur).
• 13174 Agartala-Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express (short-terminated at Hilara).
• 12520 Agartala-LTT Express (short-terminated at Damchara).

In addition, several trains have been rescheduled:
• 12508 Silchar-Trivandrum Express (rescheduled to start at 6:00 AM on April 26, 2024).
• 07029 Agartala-Secunderabad Special (rescheduled to start at 3:00 PM on April 26, 2024).
• 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express (rescheduled to start at 10:00 AM on April 26, 2024).
Passengers traveling on these routes are advised to check with railway authorities or the N.F. Railway website for further updates and to make alternate arrangements if necessary.
