GUWAHATI: The online nominations and recommendations for the Padma Awards to be announced on the occasion of Republic Day, 2019 have started from 1st May 2018.
The last date for nominations of Padma Awards is September 15, 2018.
The nominations and recommendations for the Padma Awards will be received online only on the Padma portal www.padmaawards.gov.in.
Nominations have been invited from Central Ministries and Departments, States and UT Governments, Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan awardees, Institutes of Excellence as also from several other sources to enable broad-based consideration.
All citizens can make nominations and recommendations including self-nomination.
The nominations and recommendations should contain all relevant details specified in the format available on the website, including a citation in narrative form of maximum 800 words, clearly bringing out the distinguished and exceptional achievements or service of the person recommended in her or his respective field or discipline.
