GUWAHATI: Panic grips Barpeta district of Assam as bodies of a newly-married couple was found hanging from a tree at the Sarupeta area in Bajali.
The deceased were identified as Ratan Kalita and Barasha Das, both hailed from Sarupeta.

Local residents had informed the Sarupeta Police immediately after they saw the bodies of the deceased today morning (May 27).
A police team had reached the spot to investigate the matter.
The reason behind the suicide is not known yet.
