Bollywood actor and owner of NorthEast United FC (NEUFC), John Abraham on Tuesday launched the jersey kit of NEUFC at Reliance Trends, Guwahati. NEUFC goal keeper Rehenesh TP and chief coach of the team were also present at the event.
The team jerseys were sponsored by Performax Trenz.
Speaking on the event, John said, "Football is a religion for the people of North East. I was born in Mumbai, but my heart belongs to North east India."

John in association with NEUFC also plans to open a sports academy in Guwahati, similar to that of Shillong, to open new scope for the sports lovers of the city.
